Anna Catherine (Brown) Jacobs, 89, Gorham, died Thursday, March 27, 2014, at Russell Regional Hospital.
She was born Nov. 2, 1924, in Victoria to Nicholas and Marianna (Dreiling) Brown.
She married Robert G. Jacobs on Sept. 16, 1946, in Gorham. He died Oct. 29, 2004.
She was a homemaker and attended school at Rock Ridge, north of Gorham. She worked at Gorham Train Depot during World War II. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and St. Charles Circle Daughters of Isabella, both of Gorham.
Survivors include two sons, Tim Jacobs and wife, Karla, Parcahute, Colo., and Leon Jacobs and wife, Debbie, Ellsworth; four daughters, Judy Corley, Gorham, Marie Hartwick, Ellsworth, Theresa Garnhart and husband, Kevin, Elbert, Colo., and Jerri Wulff and husband, Mike, Clinton, Minn.; a sister, Laverna Schulte, Hill City; a brother-in-law, Berno Jacobs, Gorham; three sisters-in-law, Bertha Brown, Walker, Arlene Brown, WaKeeney, and Genevieve Jacobs, Russell; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter-in-law, Marsha Jacobs; a son-in-law, Rocky Corley; six brothers, Celestine, Ed, John, Tony, Rich and William Brown; three sisters, Catherine Riedel, Mary Brungardt and Clara Hollandsworth; and a grandson, Wyatt Halde.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary Catholic Church, Gorham; burial in St. Mary Cemetery, Gorham.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Cline's Mortuary, 412 Main, Victoria, and from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary Catholic Church.
A Daughters of Isabella rosary will be at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, followed by a vigil service at 7, both at Cline's Mortuary, Victoria.
Memorials are suggested to St. Mary Cemetery Fund, Gorham.
