Susy Villa and Dennis Hahn were married July 26, 2008, by the lake in Point Park, Grand Lake, Colo., officiated by the Rev. Stan Jewell.
Parents of the couple are Severo and Maria Villa, Lakin, and Ellis and Janice Rewerts, Leoti, and the late Dallas Hahn.
Grandparents of the couple are Isaac and Engracia Barraza, and Maria de la luz Barraza, all of Santiago Papasquiaro Durango Codigo, Mexico, the late Manuel Villa, the late Harry and Grace Smith, and the late August and Laura Hahn.
Honor attendant was Belinda Wille, sister of the bride. Attendants were Lisa Ruda, sister of the groom, Karina Villa, cousin of the bride, and Drina Mohlman, friend of the bride. Junior attendant was Jackie Villa, cousin of the bride.
The best man was Ellis Rewerts, stepfather of the groom. Groomsmen were Johnny Hamilton, friend of the groom, and Trenton Weilert and Phillip Weilert, both cousins of the groom.
Flower girl was Mya Free, niece of the bride. Ring barer was Deon Escamilla, cousin of the bride.
Music coordinator was Mary Hamilton, friend of the groom. Programs were handed out by Brian Stokes, nephew of the groom, and Lyn Villa, sister-in-law of the bride. Photographers were Susan and Erich Stokes, step-sister and brother-in-law of the groom.
On Aug. 9, 2008, Dennis and Susy, along with Susy's sister Belinda and husband, Jeremy Wille, had their Validation at St. Mary Catholic Church, Garden City. Following the ceremony there was a reception, dinner and dance at the fairgrounds in Lakin.
The bride is a 2006 graduate of Lakin High School and is attending Fort Hays State University studying radiology.
The bridegroom is a 2002 graduate of Wichita County High School, Leoti, and a 2004 graduate of Northwest Kansas Technical College. He is employed at Nex-Tech, Hays, while attending FHSU, and owner of Dennis Hahn DJ Services.
Following a wedding trip to Disney World, the newlyweds are at home in Hays.
