PRATT, Kan. (AP) -- Two people are dead after a vehicle failed to stop for a construction sign on U.S. 54 in southern Kansas.

The Kansas Highway Patrol says the vehicle then struck a construction vehicle broadside about seven miles east of Pratt. The Friday night crash also caused minor damage to a parked vehicle.

No other details were immediately released, including the names of the victims.
