Apartment fire in Wichita injures 5

WICHITA, Kan. (AP) -- An apartment fire in Wichita has left five people injured.

Sedgwick County officials say the fire was reported early Tuesday. Fire crews that were first on the scene requested additional units within minutes of arrival. Flames were reported on the roof and both sides of the building.

The supervisor says five people were reportedly hurt, and four were taken to a local hospital for treatment. One person declined treatment at the scene.

The dispatch supervisor also says none of the injuries appeared to be critical.
