Police seize 2700 pounds of pot in Lenexa

LENEXA, Kan. (AP) -- Police have seized about 2,700 pounds of marijuana from a warehouse in suburban Kansas City.

Lenexa police say the large marijuana stash worth about $1.5 million was hidden in hundreds of boxes labeled as containing plastic cups.

The seizure was the result of a Drug Enforcement Administration investigation.

One person has been arrested in Indianapolis and another person was arrested in the Kansas City area.

The Kansas City Star reports (http://bit.ly/SrksXi ) that police are expecting more arrests.
