Salina OKs athletic complex at Kansas Wesleyan

SALINA, Kan. (AP) -- The Salina City Commission has approved a plan to build a new athletic complex at Kansas Wesleyan University.

The commission on Monday unanimously approved plans for a 2,000-seat stadium, a practice field, a press box and new concessions and restrooms. The $7.5 million project also includes the demolition of Glenn Martin Stadium.

The Salina Journal reports (http://bit.ly/HH1l9x ) the complex is expected to be completed next year.
