Topeka homeowner fatally shoots intruder

TOPEKA, Kan. (AP) -- Topeka police say a resident shot and killed a man who was trying to break into his home.

Police found a man dead after being called to the home Thursday evening.

A man at the home told police that the suspect had tried to break into his house. The resident wasn't injured.

Witnesses told police they saw other men fleeing from the scene. Police say they are looking for at least one other suspect.
