WICHITA, Kan. (AP) -- A 47-year-old Wichita man is dead after being struck by a bullet and crashing his car, but investigators aren't sure which of those two incidents killed him.

The Wichita Eagle (http://bit.ly/16HCbmW) reports police received calls about shots fired shortly before 1 a.m. Tuesday. About a minute later someone else called 911 to report a rollover crash a few blocks from the initial report.

Emergency responders who were transporting the driver discovered he had been shot once in the torso. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Police spokesman Lt. Todd Ojile says investigators are having trouble gathering evidence because the shooting happened in pouring rain. He says the victim's name will be released later.
