TOPEKA, Kan. (AP) -- A boy has been killed in a hunting accident in Pottawatomie County, and investigators say there are no signs of foul play.

Sheriff Greg Riat says the accident was reported around 7:15 a.m. Saturday in the northeast part of the county.

The Topeka Capital-Journal (http://bit.ly/Kz1WrC) reports the boy was taken from the scene to a local hospital, where he died from a gunshot wound.

The victim's identity and age weren't being released Saturday. Riat says more details about the accident will be released at a later date.
