Huckabee returns to Kansas to promote new book

Eds: APNewsNow.

WICHITA, Kan. (AP) -- Mike Huckabee is returning to one of the eight states he captured in the Republican presidential primary, this time to promote a new book recounting his favorite Christmas memories.

Huckabee's book signing at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Watermark Books and Cafe in Wichita is his only Kansas stop on his 60-city tour.

The former Arkansas governor is touring the nation to promote "A Simple Christmas: Twelve Stories that Celebrate the True Holiday Spirit."

The 208-page book offers details on his childhood, his years as a minister and his marriage.

Kansas was one of the eight states Huckabee won in the 2008 presidential primaries, taking about 60 percent of the vote.
