Man convicted for role in 1990 Kan. murder

Eds: APNewsNow.

LEAVENWORTH, Kan. (AP) -- A 79-year-old man has been found guilty for his role in a 1990 death near Bonner Springs.

A Leavenworth County jury found Eric Montgomery guilty on Tuesday of aiding a felon in the death of Lloyd Folsom of Prairie Village.

Montgomery, of Kansas City, Mo., was charged with helping a felon, Everett Bishop, dispose of Folsom's body in April, 1990.

Folsom's body has never been found. Prosecutors say Bishop was later killed by Sherrill Gary Brinkley.

During Brinkley's trial, Montgomery testified under immunity that he was present when Folsom and Bishop were murdered, but did not kill either man.
