Eds: APNewsNow.

TOPEKA, Kan. (AP) -- The Association of Zoos and Aquariums will review the operations of the the Topeka Zoo, after federal inspections recounted questionable care that led to several animal deaths.

City Manager Norton Bonaparte says representatives from the association will begin the review within two weeks.

Bonaparte had called for the review Oct. 22 after release of two critical inspections by the USDA cited the zoo for several issues involving animal care and record keeping related to the death of seven animals from January 2007 through July 2008.
