Analysis: Kansas stimulus projects taking shape

An AP News Analysis
TOPEKA, Kan. (AP) -- As one state fiscal year nears its completion and the 2010 year begins next week, state agencies are being advised to use their dollars wisely.
Lt. Gov. Troy Findley says it's not just because the money is needed to continue providing a certain level of services to Kansans. It's also because all eyes are on states to see that they don't waste what critics already consider excessive spending.
Kansas will get $1.95 billion from the federal stimulus fund through fiscal year 2011. Most is going to shore up spending for education, highway and social service programs, with some providing additional money for thousands unemployed by the recession.
However, continued weakness in the economy may mean further cuts beyond what legislators approved this spring.
Who is getting the jobs that are created from this stimulus? I graduated college 2008 and continuing education on loans trying to qualify for any job openings
