Eds: APNewsNow.
OTTAWA, Kan. (AP) -- A Rantoul man was sentenced to two years probation and ordered to repay nearly $30,000 in money he stole from a church.
Fifty-eight-year-old Edward Fisher was church treasurer at the Rantoul Presbyterian Church between Jan. 1, 1997, and Oct. 5, 2008 when he stole the money.
Fisher pleaded no contest in September to felony theft charges and was sentenced Monday in Franklin County District Court.
Rantoul is about 15 miles southeast of Ottawa.
