Hunter finds body in Dickinson County

CHAPMAN, Kan. (AP) -- Investigators are trying to identify a man whose body was found by a hunter in Dickinson County on Tuesday.

Sheriff Gareth Hoffman says a Chapman man was hunting along a milo field east of Chapman when he discovered the body. Deputies sealed off the area as a possible crime scene, and an autopsy is being performed to determine the cause of death and help identity the body.

Hoffman says there are no missing person cases active in his county.
