Basehor-Linwood teacher suspended

BASEHOR, Kan. (AP) -- A northeast Kansas high school teacher has been suspended over sexual allegations involving a student.
Basehor Police Chief Lloyd Martley told the Lawrence Journal-World that a 16-year-old female student approached school administrators on May 19. The teen said she had been involved in a consensual sexual relationship with a 44-year-old district teacher.
The paper reported Friday that the teacher was suspended the next day.
Martley said the department is investigating.

It is a shame that a teacher's reputation is RUINED even if there are only ALLEGATIONS of this happening! A person is INNOCENT until proven otherwise! Did this girl get disciplined by him and not like it so she is seeking revenge? I hope they thoroughly investigate this story before destroying a person's (and his family's) life!
