Heavy winds hit parts of Kansas

DODGE CITY, Kan. (AP) -- Storms with heavy winds have hit southern Kansas, blowing a semi trailer off a highway in Haskell County and damaging sheds in Ford County.

The National Weather Service in Dodge City says a funnel cloud briefly touched down south of Dodge City on Monday. No injuries were reported.

Meteorologist Michael Scott says the semi trailer was blown over at the intersection of a highway in Haskell County south of Plymell.

The National Weather Service in Wichita reported that a mobile home lost half of its roof east of Leon in Butler County. No injuries were reported.
