Kelsey Flax and Nathan Burgess were married June 4, 2011, at St. Nicholas of Myra Catholic Church with Father Daryl Olmstead officiating.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Ron Flax and Mr. and Mrs. Craig Burgess, all of Hays.
Grandparents of the couple are Ed and Norene Peters, Millie Flax, Frank and Mabel Riedel, the late Frank Flax and the late Richard and Glenna Burgess.
The bride was escorted by her father.
Honor attendant was Mandi Garrett, cousin of the bride. Attendants were Jill Hertel and Liz Bolmer, both cousins of the bride, Hayley Schmidtberger and Chelsea Fieler, both friends of the bride.
Best man was Jeff Green, friend of the groom. Groomsmen were Jordan Burgess, brother of the groom, Casey Zimmerman, Mark Bose and Dylan Dronberger, all friends of the groom. Ushers were Lucas Flax and Nathan Flax, both brothers of the bride, and Travis Hartwick and Cody Weiser, both cousins of the groom.
Candlelighters were Jenna Rau, and Sharon Gleason, both cousins of the bride. Flower girl was Grace Schmeidler, cousin of the bride. Ringbearer was Preston Palmer, cousin of the bride.
The bride graduated from Thomas More Prep-Marian High School and is a student at Fort Hays State University.
The bridegroom graduated from Hays High School and FHSU. He is a physical education teacher at Ell-Saline Elementary School.
Following a wedding trip to Cancun, Mexico, the newlyweds are at home in Salina.
