Willis "Bill" Watt, former chairman of the Communication Studies Department at Fort Hays State University, will speaking Sunday morning at Hays Christian Church during the 10:45 a.m. worship service.

While at FHSU, Watt and his wife, Katherine, were members of Hays Christian Church, where he served as an Overseer and filled the pulpit on a rotating basis. He was ordained to the Christian ministry in 1976 by the Christian Church (independent) in Abilene. Since that time, Watt has served in several educational institutions and was inducted into the Mid-America Education Hall of Fame in 1998.

Watt has authored or co-authored five books, co-authored book chapters and written a variety of papers, short stories and poems. He is currently a professor of speech communication and director of organizational communication and leadership at Methodist University in Fayetteville, NC.

There will be a luncheon reception for Watt at Golden Corral immediately following the service. All are welcome to attend the service or reception.
