The Thomas More Prep-Marian High School Singers, under the direction of Kathy Dreiling Amrein, will perform at 7 p.m. May 2 at Fox Pavilion, 13th and Main.

"The Hays After 5 Christian women's group is inviting area men and women to 'A Worthwhile Evening' to hear this choir, enjoy a wonderful meal, and listen to an inspirational speaker," said Linn Ann Huntington, the group's vice chairwoman.

The speaker, Patty Curl of Ponca City, Okla., is a published author, concert soloist and recording artist, who includes music as part of her inspirational presentation, Huntington said. The title of Curl's talk is, "I'm worth How Much??"

A humorous speaker, Curl shares how she discovered her value in a world that affirms by performance. Copies of her CDs and her new book will be on sale following her talk.
