Erin Hawthorne and Benjamin Kinderknecht were married Aug. 9, 2008, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hays, with Father Earl Befort officiating.

Parents of the couple are Steven and Vicki Hawthorne, and Lynn and Vera Kinderknecht.

Grandparents of the couple are Jean Pfannenstiel, Rozel, Carol Kinderknecht, the late Lester Pfannenstiel, the late Howard and Georgine Hawthorne, the late Joseph and Lillian Wishnuck, and the late William Kinderknecht.

Honor attendants were Carly Hawthorne and Skye Bare, sisters of the bride.

Attendants were Kathryn Kinderknecht, sister of the groom, Tambri Rolston, cousin of the bride, and Tricia VanEpps, friend of the bride.

Best man was Grant Pfannenstiel, friend of the groom. Groomsmen were Landon Geist, friend of the groom, Tanner Werth, cousin of the bride, and Jonathan Kinderknecht and William Kinderknecht, brothers of the groom.

Junior attendant was Natalie Bare, niece of the bride. Flower girl was Shawndra Bare, niece of the bride. Ringbearer was Quenton Kinderknecht, son of the couple.

Candlelighters were Nicole Parmer, Alexander Carlton and Amber Lutz, friends of the bride.

Ushers were Jared Staab and Lee Boos, cousins of the groom, and Brandon Klaus, Brennan Pfannenstiel and Dustin Pfannenstiel, all cousins of the bride.

The bride is a graduate of Hays High School and attended Fort Hays State University and Pittsburg State University.

The bridegroom is a graduate of Thomas More Prep-Marian High School, FHSU and the University of Kansas. He is attending Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences.

The newlyweds are at home in Kansas City.
