Norman Lee Wiesner, 81, Arvada, Colo., formerly of Hays and Wichita, died Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014, at his home.
He was born Aug. 29, 1932, in Ellis to George and Virginia Wiesner.
He married Alfreida Rohr. She preceded him in death. He was a machinist in Wichita. They relocated to Colorado, where he worked for Stanley Aviation and Sundstrand Aerospace. He was a U.S. Marines veteran.
He enjoyed bowling, golfing, raising his children and watching his family grow.
Survivors include two sons, Greg Wiesner and wife, Pamela, and Michael Wiesner and wife, Tara; four daughters, Linda Shimeall and husband, Steve, Joyce Childerston and husband, Robert, Karen Barbich and husband, Roger, Patricia Moore and husband, Jim; a brother, Don Wiesner, and wife, Myrlin; a sister, Jeanette Kitchen; 15 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Verlyn Wiesner.
Services were Saturday at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, Arvada; interment of Norman and Alfreida will be in Fort Logan National Cemetery.
