NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Public notice is hereby given that the University of Kansas Hospital Authority (the “Authority”), will conduct a public hearing on April 11, 2017 at 10:00 a.m., or as soon thereafter as it may be heard, at 3901 Rainbow Boulevard, Kansas City, Kansas, executive office conference room, second floor, in regard to the issuance by the Authority of one or more series of health care facilities revenue bonds in an aggregate principal amount not to exceed $230,000,000 (the “Bonds”). The Bonds are proposed to be issued by the Authority under authority of K.S.A. 76-3301 et seq., as amended, under a plan to finance, refinance, and reimburse the costs of certain health facilities, including real and personal property, related to the following projects: (1) the Authority’s Cambridge North Tower located between 38th and 39th streets at approximately 3945 Cambridge Street on the Authority’s main medical center campus the principal address for which is 3901 Rainbow Boulevard, Kansas City, Kansas, (2) the acquisition of certain assets in connection with the affiliation between the Authority and Hays Medical Center, Inc. (“HMC”), a Kansas non-profit corporation, which assets are located at HMC’s main campus at or near 2220 Canterbury Drive, and at 2500 and 2509 Canterbury Drive, in Hays, Kansas, and (3) other improvements for the Authority’s health facilities located at or near its main medical center campus and other locations at or near: 4720 Rainbow, Westwood, Kansas, 2330 Shawnee Mission Parkway, Westwood, Kansas, 7405 Renner Road, Shawnee, Kansas, 12200 and 12000 W. 110th Street, Overland Park, Kansas, and Indian Creek campus located at I-435 and Nall, Overland Park, Kansas. All of the projects are or will be owned and operated by the Authority, HMC or other affiliated entities.

The hearing will be open to the public and will provide a reasonable opportunity for interested persons to express their views, both orally and in writing, on the proposed issuance of Bonds under the plan of finance and the location and nature of the project facilities. Written comments may also be submitted to the undersigned prior to the hearing.
