Special to The Hays Daily News

Are you looking for more Spanish culture in your life? Learn how to salsa dance, belly dance, Mexican folkloric dance or learn zumba with the Fort Hays State University Spanish Club and the Hispanic American Leadership Organization in the basement of Wiest Hall on the FHSU campus.

Alternating classes will be at 7 p.m. every Wednesday. The first class, belly dancing taught by Zehra Ozkan, started last week.

The second class, on Wednesday, is zumba, taught by Michelle Staab.

The third class, salsa on Oct. 21, is taught by FHSU students Hector Villanueva, Garden City senior, and Alicia Perkins, Garden City freshman.

Each class is taught every third Wednesday, but Mexican folkloric dancing is each Wednesday at 8 p.m. and each Thursday at 7 p.m., also taught by Villanueva and Perkins.

The classes are free to anyone, but donations will be accepted for the Spanish Club and HALO.

For more information, contact Conchita Espino-Bravo, assistant professor of modern language, at (785) 628-4263 or e-mail c_espinobravo@fhsu.
