Pound plunge update

Since Pound Plunge 4 began Jan. 7, about 1,500 participants have lost a total of 4,995.3 pounds, a weight loss of 1.8 percent.

The community goal for this year's 12-week program, sponsored by Hays Medical Center's Center for Health Improvement, is to shed a total of 12,500 pounds.

Weigh-ins are scheduled at 5 to 7 p.m. every Thursday at the CHI gym, with an alternate session available from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Mondays.
