The Hays AARP Tax-Aide site will be in operation again this year. Tax returns will be done by appointment only. The number to call to make an appointment is (913) 609-0792. Appointments can be made by calling from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays. Callers who get a recorded message should try again until they can make an appointment. Messages left on the telephone will not be answered.

This year, taxes will be prepared at the Messiah Lutheran Church, 2000 Main. Tax clients should park on the south side of the church and enter through the south door. Do not call the church with questions or to make an appointment. Taxpayers making an appointment will be given suggestions of what forms and materials they need to bring to the tax site.
