I had the privilege and honor to arrange and host our "Gerber" family reunion as the Midwest Deutsche Oktoberfest on Sept. 19 to 20.

This is a great place and time for family reunions and gatherings. I called Leo and Viola Dorzweiler to see what I needed to do to have a reunion there. They said, "Just give us the number attending, we will do the rest."

There were 104 of us from six states, including Kansas. Ranging in age from 3 months to 90 years. All had a great time and really appreciated the hospitality. Thanks to Leo, Viola and their crew.

Also thanks to our cousin, Father Peter Meis of New Guenia, our nephew of Arvada, Colo., Deacon Joe Gerber, for the beautiful Mass. God bless you all.
