On June 28, the "Legacy of the Hays Larks" motorcycle poker run will benefit the summer collegiate baseball team. The poker run, sponsored by Doerfler's Harley-Davidson, will begin at 2:30 p.m. and end at 6 p.m. just in time for Hays Larks baseball action against the El Dorado Broncos. This and all other Larks' home games are free, thanks to sponsorships from Hays-area corporations and organizations.

Registration for the poker run will begin at 2 p.m. at Doerfler's Harley-Davidson, 1100 E. 43rd. Single rider fee is $20, which includes one poker hand and a meal at the end of the ride. One rider and one passenger is $25, which includes one poker hand and two meals. Two separate riders will be $30, which includes two poker hands and two meals.

The ride will begin from Doerfler's at 2:30 p.m. with stops in Ellis, Plainville, Russell and Victoria. The final stop will be at Larks' Park, Fourth and Oak streets.

During the evening, there will be a meal, raffles and chances for other prizes. The best poker hand will receive $75, with the second best hand receiving $50. The worst poker hand of the day will receive $25. All other proceeds will go directly to the Hays Larks' Baseball team.
