Class to instruct car seat safety

A child passenger safety technician course will be offered in May. The certification course is four days and combines classroom instruction, hands-on work with car seats and vehicles, and a community safety seat checkup.
Individuals 18 years and older at the time of the course are eligible. Attendance is required during the entire course. It is a physically demanding class, with students climbing in and out of a variety of vehicles.
In northwest Kansas, the course will be offerd May 20 to 23 at Smith County EMS, 914 E. U.S. Highway 36 in Smith Center.
