Bank donates $25,000 to HaysMed Foundation

Sunflower Bank donated $25,000 to the Hays Medical Center Foundation for use in their upcoming capital campaign.

Dr. John Jeter, President and CEO of Hays Medical Center, accepted the check from Mollie Carter, Sunflower Bank president and CEO, Sandy Jacobs, executive vice president, Dale Gottschalk, president in Hays, Russell and Victoria, Judy Parks, customer service manager, and Sue Niernberger, retail sales manager.

The capital campaign "Beyond Medicine ... Transforming Healthcare for Our Region" will support a major facilities improvement plan.

The campaign goal is to raise $5 million in gifts and $2 million for endowments through planned giving.

The projected cost is $18.5 million and will be funded by Hays Med with assistance from Hays Medical Center Foundation.

"Sunflower Bank is pleased to donate to this campaign," Jacobs said.

"As a community bank, we recognize the vital role hospitals and health care play on a local and regional level. We're fortunate to have such a quality medical center in Hays and are excited to be a part of their future expansion and growth."
