Brown Rice Beans & Sausage

Brown Rice, Beans and Sausage

2 cups prepared brown rice

2 (12oz) cans red kidney beans,
   drained and rinsed
1⁄2 large onion, chopped
1 (14.5 oz) can peeled tomatoes
   in juice, diced
1 1⁄2 tsp chili powder (more or
   less to taste)
1 16oz smoked fully cooked
   sausage, sliced


• Drain and rinse beans
• Saute´ onion
• Add tomatos and chili powder
• Cook  for about 10 minutes
• Add beans, prepared rice and sliced
• sausage
• Cook an additional 5 minutes or until
• Heated through
