Cheesy Cornbread with Meat

2 eggs, beaten
1-cup cornmeal
1⁄2 cup flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 can cream-style corn
1-cup milk
2 tablespoons oil
1-pound ground beef
1⁄2 cup onion
1 garlic clove, crushed
1-teaspoon cumin or chili powder
2 cups grated cheese

• Brown the ground beef and drain the fat. Add onion garlic and cumin or chili powder.
• Combine the first 7 ingredients.
• Pour half the cornbread mixture in a greased 2-quart casserole dish. Cover with the ground beef mixture and cheese. Cover with the remaining cornbread batter. Bake at 375 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes. Serves 8.
