Potato Bread or Roll Mix

Potato Bread or Roll Mix (to Package)

For a 2 pound loaf layer in jar:

2 cups Bread Flour
2/3 cup Instant Potato Flakes
2 tbsp Dry Milk
2½ tbsp Sugar
1½ tsp Salt
1 ½ cups Bread Flour

Make tag and attach to jar.

Potato Bread (to Make)

Potato Bread Mix
1½ cups plus 2 tbsp Water
2 tbsp Butter or Margarine
2¼ tsp Active Dry Yeast or
1½ tsp Bread Machine/Fast Rise Yeast

Bread Machine directions: (Basic or Basic Rapid)
Add water to pan. Add potato bread mix. Cut butter or
margarine into four pieces and place in corners of bread
machine. Make a well in center of dry ingredients; add
yeast. Bake bread according to instructions for your bread machine.
Additional flour may need to be added.

To mix by hand: Add Potato Mix to bowl. Dissolve
yeast with warm water and butter. Mix in dry ingredients
and knead. Let rise until double in size. Bake in
350 degree oven for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.

*This makes a large loaf if made in a bread machine make sure
your machine is large enough.  The recipe can be set on the dough
cycle and then made into rolls.
