Nicole Leigh Hammerschmidt and Anthony Jason Dopita were married Sept. 10, 2011, at St. Pauline Chapel, Colorado Springs, Colo., with Father David Price officiating.

Parents of the couple are Leon and Melba Hammerschmidt, Plainville, Kim Dopita, Keller, Texas, and Robert Dopita, Las Vegas.

Grandparents of the couple are Alfred and Georgine Fisher, Palco, the late Joe and Matilda Hammerschmidt, Marianne Cowley, Plainville, the late Eugene LaDuke, Elaine Dopita, Hays, and the late Robert Dean Dopita.

The bride was escorted by her father.

Honor attendant was Amanda Mayo, sister of the bride.

Best man was Scott Wise, friend of the groom.

Ushers were Mitchell Mayo and Aaron LaDuke, cousins of the groom.

A reception, dinner and dance was hosted at the Broadmoor in Colorado Springs.

The bride is a graduate of Plainville High School and Fort Hays State University with a bachelor's degree in business administration management and a bachelor's degree in organizational leadership. She is a partner relations coordinator for Studer Group, Pensacola, Fla.

The bridegroom is a graduate of PHS. He is a welder, has a private pilot's license and is employed at RANS, Hays.

Following a wedding trip to Maui, Hawaii, the newlyweds are at home in Hays.
