Today was a busy but very fun day in Denver.  First I went to a book signing with former Hutchinson News Photographer Pete Souza.  He recently published a book  describing the rise of Barack Obama.  It is a very well done book and I would really recommend it if you do not know the story [...]

The traditional press took great interest in the bloggers that received press credentials for the convention. One of our correspondents, Darrell Hamlin, probably ended up in about 20 different videos shots by different media crews. Every time I looked over at where he was sitting in the Big Tent, its seemed to me that a new producer from some media outlet was filming him as he typed away on his laptop. We'll never know how many different television clips showed our EverydayCitizen bloggers working. We felt a little like goldfish in a bowl. That said, it was very fascinating to observe the mainstream press "cover" us while we "covered" the convention. They covered us for good reason. We were indeed breaking new ground.
