The traditional press took great interest in the bloggers that received press credentials for the convention. One of our correspondents, Darrell Hamlin, probably ended up in about 20 different videos shots by different media crews. Every time I looked over at where he was sitting in the Big Tent, its seemed to me that a new producer from some media outlet was filming him as he typed away on his laptop. We'll never know how many different television clips showed our EverydayCitizen bloggers working. We felt a little like goldfish in a bowl. That said, it was very fascinating to observe the mainstream press "cover" us while we "covered" the convention. They covered us for good reason. We were indeed breaking new ground. We were on their turf. We were redefining "freedom of the press." Our blog, Everyday Citizen, made historic news at the Democratic National Convention in Denver!
