Racing action returns to RPM Speedway on Aug. 19 for Faster Pastor Night. The reverends will rumble, and the crowd will roar.

The five regular IMCA classes -- modifieds, stocks, hobby stocks, sport mods and sport compacts, along with the school buses -- will be on track for the night.

During intermission, Kyle Ermoian, founding and senior pastor at Celebration Community Church; Micah Sanderson, campus pastor at Cross Point; Jeff Neher, youth pastor at North Oak Community Church; Larry Dahlberg, pastor at Church of the Nazarene; Deb Harvey, pastor at Ellis United Methodist Church; Daryl Sherraden, pastor at Plainville Nazarene Church; and Mike "Bob Cat" Gooder, pastor at Smith Center's New Covenant Harvest Church, will take the track in a school bus and compete for the title of "Faster Pastor."

The night's sponsor is Steve's Electric & Roustabout, Plainville.

Pits open at 4:30 p.m., grandstands open at 5:30 p.m., hot laps are at 6:30 p.m., and the green flag waves at 7:30 p.m.

General admission will be $10 for adults and $5 for kids ages 5 to 12. Children younger than 5 receive free admission.
