A legislative seminar on how to create a culture of life in society will be from 9 to 11:45 a.m. Feb. 28 at the parish hall of St. Nicholas of Myra Catholic Church, 2901 E. 13th.

Theresa Bock, assistant director for field coordination of the National Committee for a Human Life Amendment, will be the presenter.

"A public policy program requires well-planned and coordinated advocacy by citizens at the national, state and local levels," Bock said.

The seminar, sponsored by the Salina Diocese Respect Life Commission, will cover the legislative process, key pro-life legislation, lobbying techniques, phone and e-mail networks, writing letters, postcards and petitions, meeting with representatives, Internet use, and how to organize local programs.

All denominations can attend the free seminar.   For more information, contact Lou Ann Brungardt, (785) 628-1966 or Donetta Robben, (785) 656-0150.
