On 06-04-2013 approximately 13 head of calves were discovered in a pen near the roadway. The owner advised he did not put the calves in the pen and the calves should be in the pasture.
It was further discovered that 10 head of 5 to 6 weight calves were missing. The calves are of a Hereford mix with varying colors: black baldies, red baldies, cream baldies, and solid black. The steers have tags in the left ear and the heifers have tags in the right ear. The tags are yellow and orange. Some of the calves also had notches cut in the ear.
This theft occurred on Highway P in Halfway, Missouri (Polk County). On 06-03-2013 during the late afternoon to early evening hours, a dark colored 3/4 ton Dodge truck pulling a faded red, open top gooseneck trailer was seen in the area. The truck was occupied by two white males.
