Forty years of wandering in the desert of death.
What can be said that hasn't already been said? For 40 years now, we have slaughtered our own in the womb. Little boys who will never become men, fathers, missionaries, priests/preachers, doctors, scientists, etc. Little girls who will never become women, mothers, missionaries/nuns, teachers, scientists, doctors, etc.
How many of these nearly 56 million in the U.S. alone would have carried to this world God's answer for a cure for cancer, for Parkinson's, for multiple sclerosis and other devastating diseases? How many of these babies, who were sliced up and discarded into a cold metal tray, burned with acid they swallowed, or pulled out of their mother's womb by their feet, only to have their brains sucked out just moments from living life in this world, had the potential to change the world and make it a better place? All of them.
Still, we voted in the most pro-abortion president in history for a second term. He danced with his wife at the inauguration festivities, but there are nearly 56 million who never got the chance to dance. As the world clock ticks away, a baby is killed every single second. If it takes you even two minutes to read this, 120 babies are now dead worldwide ... and time will march on ... every second of every minute, a baby will be slaughtered in the aforementioned manner. The U.S. is supposed to be a Christian country -- heads above the rest -- but that is laughable at this time in our history. We are a barbaric nation. We are now, "One nation, under God ... but only if we can do whatever we want, whenever it suits us and only if it doesn't cramp our styles."
As angry and sad as I am today, on this disgusting 40-year anniversary that celebrates the killing of children and the destructive wounding of women and men, I still have hope. I have hope in the one true God and his ability to forgive those who call upon his name in repentance. Our prayers can and will change things if they are true prayers of repentance and obedience. Pray for our country. Pray for the conversion of the president, and all who call themselves children of God, but do not stand for his principles. Pray especially, for Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi and Kathleen Sebelius, our government leaders, and all those who call themselves Catholic, but do not practice Catholicism. Condoning murder is not part of the Catholic doctrine.
"Woe to those who call evil, good, and good, evil." -- Isaiah 5:20
