"Larks Magic" returned this weekend.

Hays, down by seven runs going into the bottom of the sixth, rallied for an 11-8 Jayhawk League victory over El Dorado on Sunday at Larks Park.

On Saturday, Cam Brown's solo homer in the sixth lifted Hays to a 5-4 win over El Dorado. On Sunday, after a five-run sixth to get back in the game, Hays (19-11 overall, 13-9 Jayhawk) took the lead with a five-run eighth, capped by Brown's three-run homer.

Malcolm Purdy (2-1) got the win in relief, and Michael Burchett pitched the ninth for a save. Burchett saved all three Larks' wins in the series sweep.

Brown had a three-hit night; he doubled in the sixth to drive in a run and finished with four RBIs.

In Saturday's game, Hays scored two runs in the fifth to tie the game at 4-4, then Brown's homer an inning later gave the Larks the lead.

Tory Doerr (2-1) picked up the win in relief.

The Larks travel to Haysville on Tuesday for a three-game series.
