Do you hate religion but love Jesus? That's the question Hays Christian Church Pastor Kevin Daniels will be addressing during a new four-week-long sermon series beginning at 10:45 a.m. Jan. 29.

The series, "Do you hate religion but love Jesus? You're not alone," will deal with some of the reasons why people hate religion.

"A lot of things in history have been done in the name of God. What we hope to talk about is what it really means to follow Jesus," Daniels said. "I want people to understand that being a follower of Christ does not mean that we learn a bunch of rules and then hope that we follow enough of them in order to get into heaven."

The series kickoff Jan. 29 also will include light refreshments after the service. For more information, visit hayschristianchurch.org or call (785) 625-0094. Hays Christian Church is located at 22nd and Marshall Road.
