Crystal Whitney and Troy Waymaster were married Aug. 12, 2017, at the Basilica of St. Fidelis, Victoria, with Father John Schmeidler officiating.
Parents of the bride are Evan and Barb Whitney, Norton, and Tim and Janet Bennett, Olathe.
Parents of the groom are Lance and Mary Pat Waymaster, Russell.
The bride was escorted by her father, Evan Whitney, and her stepfather, Jim Schmidtberger.
The matron of honor was Nichole Ebert, and the maid of honor was Jessica Stefak, both friends of the bride.
Attendants were Patricia Baker, friend of the bride, Angela Leiker, sister of the groom, and Katie Whitney and Brooke Whitney, both sisters-in-law of the bride.
The best man was Brian Waymaster, cousin of the groom.
Groomsmen were Ryan Nelson, cousin of the groom, Tad Krug, friend of the groom, Chip LaClair, cousin-in-law of the groom, and Nathan Whitney and Brandon Whitney, brothers of the bride.
Ushers were Clayton Leiker, brother-in-law of the groom, Mitchel Driscoll and John Kane, cousins-in-law of the groom, and Christopher Brungardt, Matthew Driscoll and Terrol Palmer, all friends of the groom.
The bride is a 1998 graduate of Russell High School and a 2007 graduate of Wichita State University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration with minors in accounting and management. She owns and operates her own business, Beautiful Images Salon & Spa LLC.
The bridegroom is a 1996 graduate of RHS and a 2000 graduate of the University of Kansas with a bachelor’s degree in political science and also attended Fort Hays State University pursuing a master’s in business administration. He is employed at Waymaster Farms Inc. and serves as the state representative for the 109th Kansas House District in the Kansas House of Representatives, which includes the counties Barton, Jewell, Lincoln, Osborne, Rush, Russell and Smith.
Following a wedding trip to Mexico, the newlyweds are at home in Bunker Hill.
