Alice Blakely

Alice Blakely, 92, Beeler, died Thursday, July 22, 2010, at Cedar Village Long Term Care Facility, Ness City.

She was born Aug. 25, 1917, to Charles and Lizzie Watson.

She married Frank Blakely on July 15, 1937, in Wichita. He preceded her in death.

Survivors include four sons, Max, Terry and Bobby, all of Beeler, and Jimmie, Albuquerque, N.M.; three daughters, Glenda Roane, Ness City, Lila Wilson, Santee, Calif., and Judy Bleumer, Wright; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Ivy Day and Mable Stull; a brother, Charles "Bud" Watson; and a son, Charles Frank.

Service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at United Methodist Church, Beeler.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at Fitzgerald Funeral home, Ness City.

Memorials are suggested to Beeler United Methodist Church or Cedar Village Long Term Care, Ness City.
