Alvina Lucile Kilian

Alvina Lucile Kilian, 95, Russell, died Saturday, Dec. 5, 2009, at Russell Regional Hospital.

She was born Aug. 16, 1914, in Russell, to Henry, Jr. and Katherine (Schaat) Krug. She attended Russell public schools.

She married Johnny Kilian on July 26, 1936, in Russell. He preceded her in death June 19, 1988. She was a beauty operator for several years prior to marriage.

Survivors include two sons, Larry Dean Kilian, Eudora, and Gary Lee Kilian, Russell; two daughters, Judith Joan Holmes, Russell and Cynthia Sue Gilveli, Arizona City; a sister, Dorothy Bell, Illinois; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and many step-grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. John Lutheran Church, Russell; burial in Russell City Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m to 8 p.m. Tuesday, with family present from 6 to 7 p.m. at Pohlman-Varner-Peeler, Russell.

Memorials are suggested to St. John Lutheran Church, or Russell Senior Center in care of the mortuary.
