Askins-Collins

Greg and Peggy Askins, Hays, announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, April Marie Askins, to Christopher Collins, son of Robert Collins, Moultrie, Ga., and Mary Jane Collins, Sylvester, Ga.

Grandparents of the couple are the late Mary Ann Sahlfeld; Joe Sahlfeld, and Kenneth and Bernetta Askins, all of Beloit, and the late L.C. and Rosalee Lewis.

The bride-elect is a graduate of Hays High School and Kansas State University, Manhattan, with a bachelor's degree in social science. She is a development manager at Pawnee Mental Health Services, Manhattan.

The prospective bridegroom is a graduate of Worth County High School, Sylvester, Ga., and is pursuing an associate's degree in automotive technology at Manhattan Area Technical College. He is employed at Footlocker Inc., Junction City.

An Aug. 21, 2010, wedding is planned at College Heights Baptist Church, Manhattan.
