Benedictine College awards degrees

ATCHISON -- Benedictine College had its annual commencement exercises May 11 in the Ralph Nolan Gymnasium on the Atchison campus. This year, 405 candidates were honored during the ceremony. It was the largest graduating class in the history of the college.

Area students receiving degrees include:

Oakley: Luke Blair, bachelor of arts in secondary education and social science.

Hoxie: Kathleen Friess, bachelor of arts in theology.

Goodland: Bradley Geist, bachelor of arts in theology.

Lebanon: Courtney Strine, bachelor of arts in elementary education.

Quinter: Lance Thielen, bachelor of science in biochemistry.

Hays: Kathryn Wagoner, bachelor of arts in elementary education and special education.
