Like the plan

Concerned with the rapid decline of our democratic way of life, loss of freedom and human rights, we feel that this could be the most important election of this century.

With Jerry Moran as our model, we wanted to see candidates who were vying to replace him as First District congressman.

We were pleasantly surprised, filled with renewed hope, and grateful for the opportunity to meet four of these great candidates recently at the Republican town meeting at the VFW in Hays.

Candidates Sue Boldra, Tim Huelskamp, Marck Cobb and Tracey Mann were all aware of the myriad critical problems facing our nation and our way of life and each rose above political rancor and cheap politics throughout the evening.

Rather, they listened to each other, seemed to respect and regard the others and their opinions.

Personal attacks from the audience were few and in each case answered with dignity and straight-forwardness.

Tracey Mann surely has emerged as the top contender in our opinion. He really has a great plan with the zeal, wisdom, strength of character and determination with the leadership ability to engage others in joining him (past student body president of Kansas State).

Tracey Mann, we like your plan. You are our man.
