Two hurt in rollover

Two youngsters were injured in an accident at 10:15 p.m. Saturday in Cheyenne County, just east of the Colorado state line.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2002 Chevrolet pickup driven by Mandilyn K. Kuper, 40, Kanorado, was northbound on a county road 16 miles north of Kanorado when she failed to negotiate a T-intersection. The truck went airborne and flipped end-over-end once, coming to rest on its top.

The driver, who reportedly was not wearing a seat belt, was not injured, but was transported to Kit Carson County Memorial Hospital along with three passengers.

Sage Kuper, 10, was wearing a seat belt, and was treated for possible injuries, as was Kolby Brooks, 15.

Brooks and another passenger, Lane. T. Kuper, 17, who was not injured also were not wearing seat belts, according to the KHP.
