Three injured in rollover crash on I-70

A man, woman and young child were injured early Tuesday when the pickup they were riding in rolled multiple times after hitting ice on Interstate 70 west of Collyer.

According to a Kansas Highway Patrol report, driver Stephanie L. Nelson, 38, Evergreen, Colo.; and passengers Paul G. Chang, 44, and Rhys L. Chang, 2, both of Kittredge, Colo., were transported to Trego County Lemke Memorial Hospital in WaKeeney. A hospital spokeswoman said no information could be released about their conditions.

According to the KHP report, the pickup was headed east about 3.5 miles west of Collyer in Trego County when Nelson lost control of it on ice at 2:35 a.m. All three were wearing seat belts, the report said.
