Doris M. Gilbert

Doris M. Gilbert, 97, Natoma, died Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013, at Redbud Village, Plainville.

She was born Oct. 4, 1915, in Plainville to Wallace and Mae "Cronin" Phillips.

She married Harlan Gilbert on Sept. 10, 1935, in Phillipsburg. He preceded her in death.

Survivors include five sons, Robert Gilbert and Chris Gilbert, both of Plainville, Harry Gilbert, Houston, Carl Gilbert, Waverly, Tenn., and Dennis Gilbert, Phoenix; two daughters, Patricia Bogard, Nashville, Tenn., and Anita Wilson, Joelton, Tenn.; a sister, Gladys Allen, Plainville; 15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church; inurnment in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Plumer-Overlease Funeral Home, Plainville.

A vigil will be at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to American Cancer Society or Sacred Heart Catholic School in care of the funeral home.
